Collegium Vocale and its history

The Collegium Vocale was founded in 1994 by its director Giampiero Innocente and a group of young music lovers.
Since its foundation the choice of repertoire has focused on ancient sacred music in an attempt to bring the hearing officer to relive that context hermeneutic (liturgy-music-text) capable of transmitting the emotions and meanings of the ancient liturgies.
The Collegium Vocale has made numerous executions in northern Italy, collaborating with artists and music theatre.

     

In the autumn of 1998 was born the Choir of Gregorian, appreciated in several executions and in particular throughout the Lenten liturgical cycle to the "Incoronata" of Lodi.
In January 2000 the Collegium Vocale was committed in memory, at a distance of more than fifty years since the concert in Lodi, the figure of Franchino Gaffurio (1452-1521). In the same year the choir has achieved for the Swiss Television soundtrack of a film dedicated to the figure of S. Francis.


Since 2003 began the recovery of scores of German music of the nineteenth century: this work has led to recording of a CD dedicated to Robert Führer, put on the market in October 2004. The concerts for this commemorative event were sponsored by the German Consulate in Milan.
In 2005 the Orchestra was founded stable and the repertoire is geared final judgement in the seven-eighteenth century music.
In March 2005 Vatican Radio devoted a program to Cd registered by ensemble of Crema. In June 2005 the Collegium Vocale has hosted the choir of the Royal Holloway University of London.
In December 2005 was performed Mass KV 259 by Mozart in several concerts and the Collegium has been included in the review "Crown of Advent", promoted by the City of Milan, with an execution in the Basilica of San Marco.
On May 7, 2006, the Collegium Vocale of Crema has performed the Mass KV 259 Mozart Karlskirche in Vienna, as part of Mozart.
In June 2007 the Collegium held a successful tour of three concerts in Cambridge, England. Places of executions were: Church of St. Mary's of Buckden, the Robinson College Cambridge and the Church of Our Lady and the English Martyrs, Cambridge. The week following the Robinson College Choir, Cambridge was a guest of Collegium Vocale for a tour of Lombardy.
After a series of concerts in the autumn of 2007, including an execution in the Cathedral of Bressanone and the third execution in the Basilica of San Marco in Milan, was registered on the second CD entitled "Dies laetitiae" with music by Fuhrer, and Rosetti Moretti.
In September 2008, the Collegium Vocale di Crema opened with a concert featuring the restoration of the Church of San Giacomo Maggiore Crema. The same autumn was performed for the second time the Mass in C Major by Antonio Rosetti (1750-1792).
In June of 2009 Choirs of Pembroke and Brasenose College of Oxford were guests of the Collegium VOcale.
In the fall of 2009 will execute the Lauda Sion, Op. 73 of Felix Mendelssohn.
